Udbijja is a plant challenge which we all have taken up with love and care. The word “Udbijja” is a Sanskrit word which means germination or sprouting. We got inspired to grow plants when we visited Hearty culture Nursery at Kanha Shanti Vanam – #Love grows here .Shanti Vanam was full of infertile soil, which was not suitable for plants growth but still the place was full of a wide variety of plants. The plants there were grown with love. By hearing that we got inspired and thought of introducing this challenge where everyone of us planted our own saplings at home and also at Soham Premises. By planting and taking care of them everyday, we are developing qualities of patience and love in ourselves. Not only that, instead of gifting flower bouquets to the guests and eminent personalities, we have made it a habit to welcome them with plants.This challenge made us more connected to Mother Nature. We planted different types of long-life plants like Mirchi, Tomato, Turmeric, Tulsi, Ajwain, Butterfly Pea, Hibiscus etc.
