Sohamleaders Soham Leadership Program 2023-24, Batch-4’s Outdoor Activity on November 26, 2023, Conducted by KMICS.It was an unforgettable day for all of us, filled with fun and valuable insights during our visit to Birla Mandir and Telangana State Forest Academy

Birla Mandir

All leaders gathered at Soham Academy at 7:30 AM, initiating the day positively with soothing keerthanas and chantings at Birla Mandir .Escape the hustle and bustle of city life and reconnect with nature amidst the serene surroundings of Birla Mandir. Nestled on a picturesque hillock overlooking Hyderabad, this iconic temple offers a tranquil oasis for outdoor enthusiasts seeking spiritual solace and natural beauty.

Dulapally Forest Academy

Our adventure to Dulapally forest began, and by 10 am, we arrived the location, captured some memorable group photos and received introductions from Forest Officers.

The Distinguished Forest Officers Included:

■ Sri Ganga Reddy Garu, Deputy Conservator of Forests

• Sri Subhash Chandra Yadav Garu, Forest Range Officer

■ Sri Dr. T. Dharma Chandra Kumar Garu, CAFE Co-ordinator

• Smt. N. Umarani Garu, Deputy Range OfficerThey enlightened us about the forest’s significance and various plant types. A 4-kilometer nature walk allowed participants to delve into the beauty of the forest.

The Herbal Garden

Exploring the herbal garden felt like a botanical adventure, encountering herbs like Ashwagandha, Tulsi, and Alovera with fragrances rivaling the finest perfumes . As you explore the garden, you’ll encounter a diverse array of plant, each with its own unique characteristics and significance.

Cleanging Dulapally Forest

Not just exploring the place, we actively participated in forest cleanup, removing plastic and trash, contributing to a green and clean environment.
We believe that awareness is key to combating plastic pollution. Through educational campaigns and outreach programs.
We strive to educate visitors about the harmful effects of plastic on the environment and the importance of responsible waste management.

Group Meeting

Delicious lunch provided, energized participants for the day.

Fun games in the open grass ensued, and Sahadev sir concluded the meeting with a thought-provoking speech on gender sensitization.

Our outdoor activities in Dulapally Forest are carefully curated to foster collaboration, communication, and leadership skills among team members. Whether you’re a group of colleagues, friends, or corporate teams, our adventures are designed to bring out the best in each participant while creating lasting memories.

This day will always be cherished, and we eagerly anticipate engaging in similarly remarkable outdoor activities in the future.
