Book Title: Nate the great and Mushy Valentine
Author: MARJORIE WEINMAN SHARMAT
The author Marjorie Wienman was an American children’s writer. She wrote more than 130 books for children and teens in different languages.Inroduction to the book:The Character Nate was”inspired” by Nathan Weinman, father of Marjorie Sharmat, who had previously “featured”her mother and sister in a novel.
She named the other characters in the [first] book after oher relatives:Annie, Rosamond and Harry after mother Anne, sister Rosamond and uncle Harry.Annie,Owner of fierce dog Fang. She is an African-american girl and one of Nate’s closest friends.Rosamond,Strange owner of four cats.
My favorite part of the book is when Nate the Great thought Rosemond gave him a valentine. He wanted to stay in the dog house because if he touched it, it would be officially his. So he stayed in the dog house until the valentine that Rosemond gave him blew away and Sludge was happy that Nate the Great was with him. I liked the book because it was funny. Nate the Great always eats pancakes when he is solving a case because they help him think. He ate lots and lots of pancakes in this story because he had two mysteries to solve. Nate the Great reminds me of the time when I was a detective.
Finally this timeless chapter book is a fun introduction to the detective mystery genre. And for Valentine’s Day, kids can follow Nate as he unravels the problem, all the while learning about the importance of friendship–with people and dogs! And describes friendship .
This story also mainly tells us about mushy staff, nothing but unnecessary things. I have enjoyed reading this book. While reading I felt like I had fun in between the stories.
From this book I like this sentence “I love you Nate because you’re great”
All can read this book. You are going to have fun in between and enjoy reading this book.
