Some sessions leave us with knowledge, while some leave us with inspiration that stays with us for a long time. The first Eminent Talk of SLP Batch 6, held on 28th December, was one such spectacular, inspiring, and unforgettable experience for all of us at Soham Academy. We had the honour of hosting our very beloved and highly respected Jayalakshmi Aripina ma’am, whose journey, achievements, and powerful insights left a lasting impact on every student present.
The session began with a warm and heartfelt welcome as we received her into our academy with immense love and gratitude. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and reverence as we started the meet with our opening prayers. Jaya ma’am also joined us in this moment, experiencing the rich culture and tradition that forms the heart of our academy.
For the first time in the history of SLP, we introduced our eminent guest through a specially curated AV (Audio Visual presentation). This was a proud and exciting moment for our team, as the AV was the result of immense dedication, creativity, and teamwork. Adding to the surprise, we also presented a video highlighting her incredible achievements and impactful journey. As the video played, the happiness in her eyes reflected the success of our efforts in that moment, every bit of hard work felt completely worthwhile.
- The session continued with an engaging and insightful panel discussion, where we had the opportunity to learn about her inspiring life journey and the meaningful work she has been doing for society.
- One of the most striking points she shared was about the struggles faced by workers of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), who often do not receive the same recognition or benefits as many other workers. This powerful insight deeply moved everyone in the room and reminded us of the importance of empathy and social responsibility.
- Her life story was not just inspiring but also a strong reminder that failures should never stop us from pursuing our goals.
- Her words motivated many of us to keep moving forward with determination and courage.
- The entire session was captivating, thought-provoking, and truly enriching. The interaction was so engaging that none of us even realized how quickly time had passed. Every moment of listening to her experiences and insights felt like a valuable lesson.
- Later, our Founder Sahadev Komaragiri sir, along with Arun sir, trustee of Soham Academy, joined the session and further enriched the discussion. One of the most meaningful highlights of the session was when Sahadev sir took the initiative to support a few people from the GHMC ward through the Jayosmi Foundation, reinforcing the spirit of compassion and service.
- Students were also given the opportunity to ask questions about self-development and personal growth.
- One particularly beautiful moment of the session was when Jaya ma’am shared and recited one of her own written poems. Her words captivated the entire audience and left everyone in awe.
- The session was so inspiring and engaging that none of us wanted it to end. We all cherished every moment spent listening to and interacting with her.
- However, as time moved forward, we had to bring this wonderful session to a close.
As the session came to an end, we realised that it was not just another interaction but a truly inspiring and transformative experience. The wisdom, humility, and passion shared by Jayalakshmi Aripina ma’am left a deep impression on all of us.
