Aranya Permaculture Farm
On 2nd April we went to our third outdoor activity to Aranya permaculture farm which was started by Narasana Koppula . The entrance itself was amazing because of a dog named Ginger .After having a delicious breakfast we had to clean plants in a systematic way so that the waste would become the wealth for the plants. It was a lot of fun doing it.Then we went on a farm tour with our Previous Slp member. He told us what permaculture was all about .We First started with seeing the nature fencing around the farm ,then we saw the seed storage place. It was so beautiful to see that every seed was preserved perfectly .
Then we saw honeycombs ,here you can see one of the largest number of honeycombs. We also got to the biogas preparation. It was wonderful how the construction of the farm was done .The interesting thing about this palace is that before narsanna garu bought this land it was declared as waste land by the government .After having the farm tour ,we had our lunch and headed to the natural house .In that hot weather the house was like heaven with cooling all around due the moisture soil used to build it .
At last we had a humorous but informative interaction with Narsanna garu. He gave insights on how the people living in cities help in reducing pollution. We took back many learnings from their on how faith will change a stone into a forest,How a small change can make a big difference ,how we have the citizens of our country in urban areas, protecting nature by doing small steps. At last we got to see a wonderful sunset from a beautiful view point .
