Eco-friendly Diwali Poster
Making Contest
Diwali is the Festival of Lights. Diwali (also: Deepawali) is one of India’s biggest festivals. The word ‘Deepawali’ means rows of lighted lamps. It is a festival of lights and Hindus celebrate it with joy. During this festival, people light up their houses and shops with Diyas. Diwali signifies victory of good over evil and is celebrated as a festival of lights to commemorate the arrival of Lord Rama to his home Ayodhya after fourteen years of Exile. Lord Rama is the seventh incarnation of good Vishnu. During exile, he fought with the demon king of Lanka- Ravana and defeated him.
To be celebrate this remarkable and victorious diwali in a colourful way with more joy, we conducted a Poster Making Contest on the theme – “Eco-friendly Diwali”, encouraging the students to showcase their talent and interest on drawing and also to promote the notion of celebrating a safe and happy diwali.
20+ students took part in this competition. It was difficult for the judges to select the best as all the students have submitted extraordinary artwork.
