In this one-year committed journey of our Soham Leadership Program 2021-22, our second National Day & our first outdoor activity was “75th INDEPENDENCE DAY”. We have celebrated “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” grandly by following the Covid norms. On this auspicious day, we all gathered at our Soham Premises early in the morning. The Premises was adorned with the tricolours of National flag. We have commenced the event with the flag hoisting ceremony. As soon as the flag was hoisted by the youngest leader of our program (Manikumar) & Sahadev sir, flower petals were showered on Bharatha Matha followed by a moving rendition of Jana Gana Mana and then Team Samarpan took stand to organise different activities on this special day.
It started with heartwarming slokas by the Human Excellence Team, adding a blessed beginning to the event. One Leader from each of the teams – Saahas, Pravaah, and Samarpan have shared the significance of Independence day and spoke about how the day holds a special place in the heart of every Indian. To express the sanctity of our country, the Human excellence Team sweetened the event with their beautiful songs. Soham Academy students have performed mind-blowing Yoga poses.
To promote awareness on Nationality, we have conducted an Art Competition with the theme being, “National Integration”, in which our leaders have exhibited beautiful artworks stimulating our thoughts. We have also conducted a Quiz Competition which went in a cheerful and learning way. Apart from that, we were posed a challenge of completing 100 KMs goal of either running, walking or jogging in a span of 27 days. All the leaders actively took part in the challenge and as it was the occasion of Independence Day, we appreciated the Top Runners in the challenge with medals (Gold, Silver & Bronze). Surprisingly, we had a great discussion on the book, “Knowledge Edge” to take knowledge as an advantage by our beloved Sahadev sir. We have clicked group photos together and had a great lunch.
Finally, the event came to an end with Power slokas from Human Excellence Team. We had collected everlasting memories with priceless smiles in our bags.
