21 Days Vocabulary Activity
Nobody can deny the critical role of Vocabulary in language learning. Keeping this in mind, on an auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri, We ( Skills Committee )
started a 21 days Vocabulary Activity for all our Soham family members aiming at Improving the Vocabulary of Students.
What is 21 days Vocabulary Activity ?
“ 21 days Vocabulary Activity “, A daily 5 mins beneficial activity in which every day a word will be posted in the common group at 8:30 am with it’s meaning, pronunciation, alternative words and simple example sentence by a Senior Soham member. And the Students had to respond back with a simple example sentence of their own for that particular word. So that they can Improve their language and knowledge of words.
One day before starting this activity, We released a flyer in the group with all Instructions and Rules written below with the intention that every student should have a
clear idea on what and why they are participating in this activity. All the Students consistently participated with great responses and We were very happy to read
their own sentences.
After the Successful completion of this activity, We planned to Organize a quiz on this particular 21 days learnings to find out how much they learnt from this. We dropped a message in the group that there will be a quiz on this 21 days learnings and a surprise reward is planned for all the winners. We gave them 2 days time to
have a throwback on the learnings. We shared a Google form, which included the questions of multiple choices and a set of 10 mins time was given to every student to know their speed. Around, more than 25 students participated. All of them gave their best and everyone scored very well.
The winners were rewarded with cash prizes and Certificates for their amazing performance. Everyone congratulated them heartily and encouraged all other
students to do better next time.This 21 days activity helped all our Soham Students to build an habit of learning new words every day and Using them in their daily conversations
