MATHS DAY AND GEETHA JAYANTHI
DRAWING COMPITITION
National Mathematics day is celebrated every year on December 22 to honor the birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujam. He died at the age of 32 due to tuberculosis. Ramanujan gave almost 3500 math formulas to the world that scientists have still not been able to prove completely. This day is celebrated to inculcate a positive attitude towards learning among the generation of the country.
The auspicious day on which the Bhagavad Gita was revealed to Arjuna by Lord Krishna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra 5000 years ago, is celebrated as the Gita Jayanthi festival. Celebrating Gita Jayanthi is a celebration of a philosophy that helps us in our everyday life. The Bhagavad Gita encourages us to live life with purity, strength, honesty, kindness, and integrity in order to find our purpose and to live it fully.
To celebrate the significance of these two noble days, we conducted a drawing competition. Close to 25 students participated in the Geeta Jayanti & Mathematics Day Special Drawing Competition. The pros in Art field became the judges and selected the top 3 winners. It was a tough decision for them to declare the best as every student’s drawing was unique and creative. Yet, they managed to disclose the final winners.
1) Naziya (🥇) – CPL AMberpet School – 10th Class.
2) Asifa (🥈) – CPL AMberpet School – 9th Class.
3) J. Shivani (🥉) – Jama E Osmania School – 9th Class.
This was consistently & successfully coordinated by our Soham Leaders with all their efforts. We conveyed our warm congratulations to all the winners and cheered up other students to improve more with such competitions and grow better with a bundle of skills. Later, certificates were and cash prizes were handed to the winners on the Soham TalentOstav. We were absolutely mesmerized to see their beautiful drawings.
